La Jolla Cove
La Jolla Cove, San Diego’s most desirable spot for kayaking, snorkeling and diving, is only 15-20 minutes from the resort. The water is calm and ecologically protected, providing a safe home for colorful garibaldi, yellowtail, rays and even leopard sharks. Because the water is protected, surfboards, boogie boards and other floatation devices are not permitted. The beach itself is small, but nearby Scripps Park offers a nice grassy expanse for spreading out.

Visually, the cove is a breathtakingly gorgeous gem. Somewhat hidden with alluring curves and caves, it is often cited as the most photographed beach in San Diego. Parking is available in nearby paid lots, with a few street spots available for the lucky.

Stars & Stripes Sailing
Join us for an interactive and exciting sailing adventure aboard one of the fastest and most famous sailboats in the world. Grind the winches to help raise and trim the sails, take your turn at the helm, or just hang on as you zip around San Diego Bay at twice the speed of the average sailboat.

• 3-hour public sails depart from the Kona Kai Marina at 1PM.
• Cost: $100 for adults and $50 for kids 18 & under.
• Private charters are available for a minimum of $1,200. Maximum number of guests is 24.
